Cristina Torre, the daughter of the former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre, knows a thing or two about how to make a good catch. This week, she caught a baby that tumbled off of second-story fire escape in Brooklyn, NYC. Her father confirmed the story:
“I am very proud of my daughter Cristina’s actions today during an incident in Brooklyn involving a small child,” said Joe Torre, who is now Major League Baseball’s executive vice president of baseball operations. “Fortunately for that child she was in the right place at the right time to lend a hand.”
Cristina Torre saved the baby who fell from a building.
Without thinking twice, Cristina saved the child.

As the daughter of the Yankees’ ex-manager, Joe Torre, she knows a thing or two about catching.

The baby Cristina saved somehow got out of the apartment, climbed onto the fire escape and tumbled from above. Cristina just happened to be walking on the sidewalk below and saved the child from a terrible fate. Making an important play is just in her blood.
